The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day has done far worse than kill you. It has hurt you. And it wishes to go on hurting you.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic!
Ah, Wrath of Khan. Lovely, lovely Wrath of Khan. Dare I say, the most enjoyable 113 minutes of Star Trek ever produced. I wouldn’t say The Best because The Best could mean different things for different people, but there’s no other Trek movie or episodes that gives me as much personal joy as The Wrath of Khan. It has the action of a Star Wars with the radically different characters and world of Trek and one of the all-time best screen villains in Khan, portrayed with Ahab-esque zeal by the late, great Ricardo Montalban.
There’s a fantastic pic of Montalban having a laugh at a creepy-ass doll version of his diminutive Fantasy Island co-star Herve Villechaize that made the rounds a while back. I have that one, too, but figured I’d go for something a little less known.
Here we have make-up man Werner Keppler applying the finishing touches on the torched and dying Khan Noonien Singh. Enjoy!
Thanks to Bill Forsche for the pic!
If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare or the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here.
Tomorrow’s Behind the Scenes Pic continues the theme of 1982 sci-fi!
