I recently watched The Princess Bride again when I picked up the Blu-Ray and it really hit me just how quotable this movie is. I mean, I’ve always known it’s a highly quoted film (Inconceivable!), but not 5 minutes goes by in that movie where I couldn’t quote along with it.
William Goldman’s script is brilliant, full of character, Rob Reiner was at his peak as director, and the casting is perfect. From Andre The Giant to Chris Sarandon and everybody in-between, I love this world.
Also, I love Mark Knopfler’s score and how it is actually a character unto itself, almost commenting on the film as the story plays out.
So, naturally I kept my eye out for a BTS still and this is what I got… from the torture scene as Mr. Reiner directs Carey Elwes as the Albino looks on!
