Tiny Furniture earned the 23-year-old Dunham comparisons to Woody Allen. She's a gifted comedienne, eager to plum her insecurities over her imperfect physical appearance for both poignancy and laughs—I'm not sure I've seen a film that so accurately and unblinkingly depict what it's like to feel unattractive.Dunham will also write, produce, direct and star in the HBO pilot, “about the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20's,” according to Deadline. If the pilot goes to series, it will be Apatow's first in primetime since 2001's "Undeclared." Apatow is also executive producer of HBO's late-night sketch show "Funny Or Die Presents," which I think is Apatow's first series of any stripe since "Undeclared."
