Is The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day safe? Is it safe? Is it safe? Is it safe?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic!
This entry in the Behind the Scenes Picture of the Day series is historic. That’s right! There’s a historic first happening with today’s installment! It’s the first time the BTSPotD column features two pictures!
Don’t expect this to become a regular thing. I like the steady pace, but occasionally I’ll get a series of pictures from a single movie that I can’t separate out.
Case in point, today’s photos from the set of MARATHON MAN featuring a young Dustin Hoffman not showing much respect to Sir Laurence Olivier. Between these two photos you get a real sense of the moment and of Hoffman’s sense of humor.
I’m a big fan of John Schlesinger’s film… it’s Dustin Hoffman in his prime, those first 10 years of a brilliant actor’s career where there’s a fire in his eyes. Paul Newman had the same feeling and while they both continued to be brilliant in later films there’s a hunger in their earlier works that is unmistakable.
I also love Olivier in this flick. Creepy, sharp, dangerous but at the same time kind of pathetic and sad, too. Great turn.
Here are the two pics. Enjoy!
If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare or the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here.
Come take a roll in ze hay with tomorrow’s Behind the Scenes pic! See ya’ then!
