It’s injustice The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day hates, not the Normans.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic!
Welcome to Sherwood Forest, Constant Reader! And I’m talking about the real Sherwood Forest where the men wore tights and didn’t mumble about lions and lambs and other convoluted nonsense.
I’m not 100% sure, but judging by the hairline of the photographer I’d guess that director Michael Curtiz. It’s very meta, I know… a photo of someone taking a photo. The handsome men on the hill in the tights are, of course, Errol Flynn as Robin and Patric Knowles as Will Scarlett.
Here we are some 72 years after this film first saw release and it still stands as one of the most entertaining movies of all time. Flynn’s charm hasn’t been matched… in a funny kind of way the closest I can think of is Carey Elwes in Mel Brooks’ spoof Robin Hood: Men In Tights. Maybe the fox in the Disney movie…
Also unmatched are Basil Rathbone’s Sir Guy of Gisbourne and Olivia de Havilland’s Technicolor beauty as Maid Marian. That sword fight between Rathbone and Flynn still gets my blood running.
Anyway, hope you enjoy this candid moment from the set. It’s a surprisingly sharp picture for such an old still.

If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare or the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here.
I’m playing it safe with tomorrow’s Behind the Scenes pic! See ya’ then!
