There can be no understanding between the hand and the brain unless the Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day acts as the mediator!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic! Keeping a daily column fresh is a big challenge. You have noticed some “that’s an alright one” in the mix so far and you will see a few in the future. Sometimes it’s a necessity if I want to feature a particular actor, movie or director and only have a mediocre shot to do it with. But today’s shot was something that really got my geek up. This isn’t a filler shot and, amazingly, the other behind the scenes pics I have for this movie are just as good, if not better. But to me this picture encompasses everything I wanted to do with this column. From Fritz Lang’s Metropolis we have an awesome picture that gives us a look at the detail of the Maria robot piece as well as a thought at to what was underneath. It’s a very candid moment, a frozen piece of history as the actress inside took a breather and one of the costume guys was doing a little touch-up on the robot… in short, this is the kind of shit you see when you spend any time on a film set. Real people doing their jobs, all focused on making magic happen at 24 frames a second. Here it is (and click to make bigger):

If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare, the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here. Tomorrow’s Behind the Scenes Pic proves there are two kinds of people. Those with loaded guns and those who dig. See ya’ then! -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
