Hey folks, Harry back here in Austin. Here's a report on footage seen from FINAL FANTASY. Now I don't know, but if the audience members were cheering after the Ving Rhames "ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" line... that must've been some amazing CGI. But here... I'll let someone who's seen it go into it...
Just saw this article at www.videogames.com about the Squaresoft conference held in New York city on October 26th.
Here's a passage about the Final Fantasy Movie, it sounds amazing!
"...the two full-minute preview of the FF Movie was absolutely stunning. It was obvious these were CG-rendered graphics, but they were like nothing ever seen before. By the end of the trailer, where the Ving Rhames character turns to the audience and asks, "Are you alright?" the audience members were on their feet, cheering."
Damn, fall of 2001 (most likely release date) seems way too far away!!!
I'm a fan of everything Squaresoft (Final Fantasy 8 is one of my favorite games), and I'm sure that they won't disappoint.
