If You Hated MAMMA MIA! Will You Love IRON LADY??

Merrick here...
Looks like Meryl Streep and MAMMA MIA! director Phyllida Lloyd are putting together a movie about former Brisith Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The mighty Jim Broadbent is in talks to appear as Thatcher's husband Denis.
"Lady" is based on a script by Abi Morgan and, as described by Pathe, "tells the story of a woman who smashed through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world. The story concerns power and the price that is paid for power, and is a surprising and insightful portrait of an extraordinary and complex woman."
...says THR HERE. Given that MAMMA MIA! is the only film in the last few years that I, literally, could not sit through - the notion of this project doesn't excite me too much at all. Although, I'd imagine that...in the right hands...its subject matter could be rather interesting. This new picture is called IRON LADY, not to be confused with the heavy metal group Iron Maiden, who brought us hard driving awesomeness like "The Number of the Beast" and "2 Minutes to Midnight."

In 1981, Margaret and Denis Thatcher appeared together (played by Janet Brown and John Wells respectively) in the 007 film FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. The sequence was one of the franchise's more unfortunate moments...
Although, now that I think about it, a movie based around these personalities (as presented in Bond) might not be too bad at all...
