LORD OF THE RINGS: Casting.... Viggo is in!

Alright folks, here we go. I just got this absolutely 100% confirmed. Viggo Mortensen has been cast and is on board as Aragorn. I noticed quite a few people out there in Talk Back last time that didn't seem too pleased with the big vig, but if you haven't seen his Navy Seal from G.I. JANE... Then just hush. Viggo hasn't had much luck landing the great 'make ya or break ya' role... until now. This is the part where we see Viggo succeed. I'm excited. No more speculation... He's in.

As for the why... in Stuart Townsend's departure from the film, apparently Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh decided that he just wasn't going to work out for the character. Or at least that's the story I'm hearing. Man... there has been 4 days of shooting already. Hee hee hee.... 'Frodo of the nine fingers, and the ring of doom.... how did he get nine fingers and where is the ring of doom?'
