I am – Hercules!!
Anticipating the TV-news slowdown as we head into the Memorial Day weekend, TV By The Numbers has unveiled another of its charts demonstrating that “The Tonight Show Starring Jay Leno” 2.0 continues to do no better than “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien.”
In fact, Jay’s 12th week apparently lagged Conan’s.
AND David Letterman's "Late Show" is now doing a lot better against Jay than he was against Conan.
Doesn’t NBC claim it was losing money with Conan’s “Tonight”? (That was Steve Kroft’s “60 Minutes” premise a few weeks ago, right?) So how much money is NBC losing with Jay pulling essentially the same (or lesser) 18-49 demo?
Of course the trend could reverse itself in a few weeks since Conan eventually had to endure as his lead-in the nigh unwatchable “Jay Leno Show.”
Enough of my biased jibber-jabber. Have a gander at the graph here.
