Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I'm a big fan of Rodrigo Cortes' work on BURIED, which I saw at Sundance. It's a simple premise, one location, but the logistics of making that movie visually interesting are mind-boggling. The dude knows his shit. And it seems he's using the momentum created at Sundance (and by Lionsgate's acquiring of the film) to roll into his next feature called Red Lights. Bloody-Disgusting has some info on the movie and some interesting casting. First up, it looks like Sigourney Weaver is playing a significant role in the flick about "a para-psychologist who attempts to debunk a very reputable psychic who has just returned to the limelight after 30 years." Weaver's character's name is Margaret Matheson and I have idea if she's the para-psychologist of the psychic. I'm leaning towards the psychic, but that could just be wishful thinking on my part. The flick is a thriller about "how the brain does not give a true picture of reality," according to BD. Can't wait! Glad we're taking Sigourney back from the endless run of studio romantic comedies. -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
