Michael Bay To Produce GIDEON'S SWORD!!

Paramount has optioned a forthcoming novel called GIDEON'S SWORD. Michael Bay, ejector of Foxes, will produce their film adaptation through his Bay Films banner.

"Sword" is the first novel in a new Gideon Crew series written by the team of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, scheduled to be published in February by Grand Central Publishing.

Little is known about the GIDEON'S SWORD book at this time, other than it's probably a techno-thriller involving a character named Gideon Crew. TheWrap says GS...

... apparently a spin-off from Child and Preston's popular FBI Agent Pendergast series, which features the brash, young upstart Crew, who Grand Central Publishing executive editor Jaime Levine said "deserves his own series."
