X-MEN... the role of Wolverine hangs in a balance...

About a week ago I got a scoop that dropped saying that it was looking as if Singer and crew may have to recast the role of Wolverine due to shooting overruns in Australia on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2 for Dougray Scott. Well... I couldn't get it confirmed, so I didn't run with it, but apparently Michael Fleming at Variety got the story confirmed for his DISH column. Well, this is music to many fan's ears as confidence in Dougray was low, though I had felt that I haven't seen Dougray act long enough to be able to make any definitive statements about him. However... If FOX is out on a limb right now, if they want to really really make fans happy. Offer Russell Crowe as much money as you possibly can to get him in that part. Hurry... before he commits to the Meg Ryan film, PROOF OF LIFE. From the reports I'm hearing of his performance in GLADIATOR... you will find no better actor on the planet to portray this character. Step up and get the man... unless of course Dougray is still able (though personally... I'm still in favor of Crowe) I don't want to hear any of this, "Crowe passed on the script" stuff either. This script is much changed since the last time he saw it. And Mel Gibson turns down stuff all the time... just throw the money at him. Get him to play this role... He'll be a god! Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it.....
