Alrighty... Harry here on Wednesday, October 6th. From the looks of things... It seems the move hasn't quite happened yet, but the front page is broken. To answer a few questions that have come in TALK BACK...

Why am I changing now?

Basically because I felt there needed to be a change. I've enjoyed my association with JamisonGold. They have been very cooperative and giving, but AICN has simply reached a point where I need more than they really have time for me right now. There are many exciting new developments and directions I wish to take the site into... and I felt the change was needed.

Are all the archives going to be lost, will my passwords and forum Identities go away, what's going to happen to everything we have access to now?

Well... We've been preparing this move for the last month or so to ensure that you will feel no change when this takes place. HOWEVER, I believe in Murphy's Law which clearly states that Anything that can go wrong Will go wrong, so that's why I'm telling you about this. I've checked out the beta... and all your old Talk Backs seem to be in place. My passwords still work. Everything seems peachy keen. Keep your fingers crossed!

Will the Site Address Change?

No. But your local IP may not instantly receive the new number... I believe we are setting up a forwarder that should forward you to the new number. If this doesn't happen... Notify your provider and ask them to update the thingee for AICN.

Are you scared?

Shitless.

How do the other site personalities feel about this?

We are all eager and hopefull that this change will take us boldly to the next evolution of the site. I plan on instantly working on a next generation of the site, rid of the CGI code that we currently have and exploring newer and better alternatives that will allow for a faster interface and provide a low tech and high tech version of the site.

This seems so sudden Harry.

To me... it feels like this has been coming for a very very long time. I feel like a little boy on Christmas day.

YESTERDAY'S CHAPTER TO ALL OF THIS.......

Hey folks... Harry here. I'm not going to update tonight, for today, because.... quite frankly... We are getting set to move the site to some new servers and a new company. So, bare with us, this should all be taken care of in the next couple of days.... I would update, but I don't want to chance losing any new stories like what happened last night.
