Well the following wound up coming from Natalie Portman via a 'unnamed' magazine interview from the junket Q&A on ANYWHERE BUT HERE, but because good geeks were uh asking questions we got a brief tidbit on STAR WARS EPISODE TWO. But ya know what... One of my favorite aspects of this whole little universe of STAR WARS info is... now that we are on SWE2 & 3... well the rumors are starting again from scratch. Below, the Ocelot speculates that Portman's Amidala character was supposed to die in episode 2... but from the sound of the interview Portman will be in Episode 3, so he supposes that's where she must die.... Folks... She may not die at all. In fact, who knows... Portman probably doesn't know for sure. I mean, it's not like George is particularly forthcoming with information to actors. I mean... in Jedi the whole sister bit came out of left field for most involved... George is a tricky fella... So forget all that you think you KNOW... I'm sure there are twists we can't really believe coming up... I mean... gosh.... I bet the Emperor will be revealed in the next one to be that damn Taco Bell dog...

I'm a long time fan of the site and such a fan of your work. You've taken almost all of my passions and formed them into one web site...very, very cool.

Well, here's the first thing I've ever come across that even resembles a scoop because I live in Detroit and not much happens here...well, excpet for that evil Delta City project. (Although when "Polish Wedding" filmed here, I met Gabriel Byrne and made him admit "Cool World" sucked.)

OK, my best friend works in New York for a magazine I can't mention or else I'll get him in trouble. But on saturday, he attended a round-table interview with Susan Sarandon, Natalie Portman and Wayne Wang about their new chick-flick "Anywhere But Here."

Apparently, all three of them were just friendly-as-hell and Ms. Sarandon talked glowingly about Tim Robbins' "Rock the Cradle".

Well, I guess the fun really started when my buddy started asking about Episode 2. I guess Natalie was very cool and said she loved talking about the films. She's in college now (she wouldn't name which one) and talked about how she's trying to have a normal college life.

She does her own laundry, writes papers, etc. She cracked the sudience up when she described how weird it was to go grocery shopping with her friends and not being able to find a Pepsi can without her face on it.

THE SCOOP is that Ms. Portman said that she's committed to a normal college schedule and that she's been assured that she'll be filming her role NEXT SUUMER so she can be back to school in the fall. That's the first I've heard about a confirmed start date for filming.

I guess Natalie also said that she's really excited about the next two movies because Phantom Menace was basically just a set-up for the cool movies to come. Funny thing is my friend said that when she talked about the next two SW films, Ms. Portman made it sound like she'd been in both. Who knows? Maybe Amidala won't bite the bullet until Ep III.
