Live in Chicago? Wanna see an advanced screening of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET? Capone has all the details!!!

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here. I've been writing a lot in the last week about my visit to the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET set last summer, and I still have one more piece from that event to post early next week. But the time for talk is through, and now it's time for a few Ain't It Cool readers to actually sit down and watch this puppy with me at an early screening of the film, starring Jackie Earl Haley as Freddy Krueger, Version 2.0. I've seen Jackie is full-on Freddy makeup, and the look is grotesque and very realistic, especially since the filmmakers were going for more of a real-life burn-victim look, including melted ears, flattened nose, and a gauged-out cheek. Uh oh, here comes my lunch... I've got 70 seats (or 35 passes, good for the winner and a guest) to give away to the Chicago screening of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, which takes place Wednesday, April 28 at 7:00pm at a theater in downtown Chicago (the exact location will only be given to contest winners). Here's how to secure a pass good for you and one guest. Send me an email at caponeaicn@aintitcoolmail.com (please note the new email address) with the subject line "WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!" In the body of the email, I need your Name, whether or not you're bringing a Guest (guests' names are not required), and the answer to the following question (read carefully): "What is your favorite Freddy kill?" Simple enough; let me know the single best murder that Freddy has committed in movies to date, in your estimation. Keep your responses BRIEF--limit your answers to 75 words or less (no matter how tempted you are to go over the limit). People with the most creative response and rationale win. Winners will receive an email from me soon. And because we have such a limited number of seats, a word to those who consistently tell me they're bringing a guest and show up solo: don't ask for a guest if your guest isn't 100 percent confirmed. For this screening, your guest not coming means you don't get in either. Sorry, them's the rules. We don't want a single empty seat for this screening, so either apply as a single or make sure your guest shows up in a timely fashion under penalty of death. Please keep in mind that this is NOT an exclusive AICN event, and it is slightly overbooked to make sure there is a full house. If you cannot arrive at this screening early, please do not enter. If there's even the slightest chance you'll have to back out of attending if you do win, don't enter. If you have a job that might make you late or unable to attend, or an ill/pregnant relative, or a temperamental significant other, or a scratchy throat, do not enter. Anyone not showing up without informing me ahead of time so I can fill their seats is no longer eligible for future screening contests. Good luck, everyone!
