Twenty years to the day after ABC launched “Twin Peaks,” its best series ever, the network has released to Hulu the first 14 minutes of “Happy Town,” a new project from the creators of “October Road” and the American version of “Life On Mars.” Some say "Happy Town" seeks to emulate “Peaks.” (The series may fall somewhat short of the old David Lynch series’ brilliance, however. Last May the Televisionary website called it “ridiculous,” “insipid” and “a cheap knock-off of ‘Twin Peaks.’”) Is it the next "Lost" or the next "Eastwick"?
