A Facebook page says James Marsters, famous in sci-fi TV circles for his work on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” “Smallville” and “Caprica,” will star in CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0” pilot as a key antagonist of island top cop Steve McGarrett. Can the page be trusted? Who would bother to make something like that up? Casting agents were looking for a thirtysomething actor to play international arms dealer and human trafficker Victor Hesse, who (SPOILER) becomes McGarrett’s archnemesis when he kidnaps and executes McGarrett’s father.
