Meanwhile it seems that UNIVERSAL STUDIOS is thinking (scratch that) Planning to create a CG feature film division. Agent Pooh Bear tells me that it looks as if Rhythm and Hues will be the effects people that will be brought into the mix. This seems to make a lot of sense to me, since DreamWorks struck that deal with PDI, and Disney struck that one with PIXAR, wellllll... it just makes sense. R & H is the largest CG effects house that could mount a feature production, and I have to say I've heard from teeny tiny spies that do shadow characters, that they want to do CG features. Looks like ol TOY STORY is going to be one hell of a first page on a BIG era of films. I can't wait. NOW if only someone were smart enough to get the rights to make the best character in the world for CG feature animation... BETTY BOOP. Get James Brown and B.B.King to do the music, and sit back for the coolest damn animated feature of all time. It's perfect. Eeeek, I'm campaigning. Sorry. (psst..
