X-Files the movie and ET!!!

Geek #00000003 just reported in with his report from Entertainment Tonight, yesterday, which covered the X-FILES movie. And the ever studious Geek 3 studied the footage over and over again, burning the midnight oil, till he had this ready for you. Enjoy:

ET's Lisa Cannon on the set of X-File the movie...

Lisa and David Duchovny stand in front of a large outdoor set with a large crane in the background holding up a bluescreen. A wind machine and a ATV can be seen in the background off-set. The set is a semi-forest with some areas free from trees and having only a dirt/rock ground with desert like growth. (See By Line Below)

Cannon: What are we doing here? What's happening here?

DD: I can't tell ya.

Cut to a shot of an unmarked helicopter hovering over. Cut to shot of helicopter coming up through the trees facing the camera. There are two people in the cockpit but I can't make out who they are. The pilot is a white male and the passenger appears to be an African American male. He looks like "X" to me but maybe I am dreaming.

By line appears..."On location Canyon Country, CA". Cannon voice over full of fluff with a shot of the moon and another of the unmarked helicopter.

Cut to: Mulder and Scully coming to a screeching halt in a dirt clearing, possibly a road. Incidentally, they drive what looks like an Olds Aurora (I'm a sucker for detail). Mulder is driving. They both get out of the car hurriedly. Both are attired in the typical garb. The camera pans up quickly to glimpse the crane in the back ground, holding the camera It's made by "Technovision" as the logo can clearly be seen. We can get a trace on that equipment right?). Mulder and Scully rush up to a bluescreen where

Scully says, "What do you think they are?"...they glance at each other and

Mulder replies, "I have no idea.".

Cut to Cannon walking towards the camera with a flashlight spouting some typical ET goop.

Cut to: Wide angle shot, from the passenger side, of Mulder and Scully apparently getting back into their vehicle at the same scene. The helicopter is buzzing them with it's spotlight flying towards the camera. They watch it fly over.

Cut to: Cannon and David Duchovny standing in front of the set.

Cannon: I heard you had to sign something in blood that you would not be talking about this?

DD: Yeah well, yeah, it was a bodily fluid. (Whatever Dave? Improv isn't your strong suit.)

Cut to: shot of Scully getting out of the vehicle again only this time the camera is on the drivers side. It's obviously the same shot from a different angle. The camera pans back to show Mulder and then the two walk towards the bluescreen. This time we see the bluescreen from a wide angle and the two agents facing it. The ET camera is position just behind a crane camera on the set which we see panning up to get an establishing shot.

Cannon: Straight answers are few and far between but I was able to follow the courageous couple deep into a California canyon where they came across a mysterious blue screen."

Cut to DD: On that bluescreen will be a structure that will be very important to the film. More than that I dunno.

Cannon: An alien or something?

DD: No.

Cannon: A monster?

DD: Not an alien. Not a monster.

DD: Domes!

Cannon: Well...uhh...

DD: There I gave you a lot...I said Domes!

Cut to: continuation of previous shot of Mulder and Scully getting into the car. The helicopter has now passed and they get into the vehicle and fasten seat belts as the dust begins to fly up from the chopper.

Cut to: Gillian Anderson and Cannon discussing the fact that GA lost her voice from the dust the chopper kicked up.

Cannon to DD: Is there a love scene? DD: Aw, ya know. That's the eternal question. Cannot be answered
