Abrams’ MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE IV Set For Memorial Day 2011!!

I am – Hercules!!
The project still doesn’t have a director, but Paramount says “Mission: Imposssible IV” will hit cinemas in about 16 months: Memorial Day 2011. Now the news that may trouble some. The script is still by latter-day “Alias” writer-producers Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, working from an idea by franchise star Tom Cruise and “M:I 3” co-writer-director (and “M:I 4” producer) J.J. Abrams. If you loved the American TV series “October Road” and “Life on Mars” (I did not), you’ll be happy to learn screenwriters Appelbaum and Nemec masterminded both. If you loved the latter three years of “Alias” (I did not), you’ll be happy to learn Appelbaum and Nemec joined that show midway through season three. Appelbaum and Nemec are also masterminding ABC’s fast-approaching thriller “Happy Town,” whose pilot Televisionary deemed “ridiculous and insipid.” Appelbaum and Nemec’s other writing credits include episodes of “Martial Law,” “Profiler,”’ “Going to California,” “The Chronicle,” “She Spies,” and “Fastlane.” Find all of Variety’s story on the matter here.
