Michael Bay Won't Direct I AM NUMBER FOUR After All - But Here's Who Will!!

Merrick here...
A while back we learned of Michael Bay's interest in a project called I AM NUMBER FOUR (details HERE). At the time, it sounded like something Bay might direct. Things have changed - probably because Bay's TRANSFORMERS 3 is already ramping up I should think - and now Michael will only produce I AM NUMBER FOUR. Who will direct this DreamWorks film? D.J. Caruso (EAGLE EYE, DISTURBIA, TV's THE SHIELD)

“Four” revolves around a group of nine aliens who escaped their home planet just before it was annihilated by a rival species. Hiding out on Earth, the title character disguises himself as a human high schooler, only to discover he is being hunted still by his planet’s enemy.

..says THR HERE. Al Gough and Miles Millar (SHANGHAI NOON, SMALLVILLE, the third MUMMY installment) will script the movie, which is based on a forthcoming "young adult" title from Harper Collins. I never saw much of the show but...based on my limited understanding of it...isn't this sounding a lot like ROSWELL?
