Report: NBC Affiliates Saw 25% Newscast Decline During LENO Era!! Tales of NBC Pinheads!!

I am – Hercules!! NBC affiliates would have lost an estimated $22 million over a three-month period if NBC stuck with “The Jay Leno Show,” according to research firm Harmelin Media, which indicated local affiliates saw their late news audience drop by an average of 25% in November compared with the previous year in a key advertising demo. Find all of the Associated Press’ story on that matter here. In other late-night news, I thought I read Jimmy Fallon will appear on “The Jay Leno Show’s” horrible 10@10 segment Thursday, presumably to signify that he’s on Team Jay, but now I'm told it's actually Jimmy Kimmel who's on the segment tonight. When I thought it was Fallon I was reminded of how NBC forced Letterman to book Leno shortly after Leno was named Johnny Carson’s successor as host of “The Tonight Show”: Conan O'Brien, meanwhile, has invited notorious Leno-hater Howard Stern to appear on “Tonight.” Stern says he'd love to do it if he didn't have to fly to California. Here’s Dave with “Tales of the NBC Pinheads” from Wednesday night: What NBC ran at 10 p.m., autumn 2008: Monday: My Own Worst Enemy Tuesday: Law & Order: SVU Wednesday: Law & Order Thursday: ER Friday: Lipstick Jungle
