Nothing Like The Music To OLDBOY To Brighten Up Your Day! ScoreKeeper Has Five Copies Of The Soundtrack To Give Away!!

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here presenting another fantastic score soundtrack to give away. I have to admit though I'm feeling a bit awkward about this one because there's a slight twist…It's a digital download. I'm not quite on board the digital revolution. I've purchased a handful of soundtracks on iTunes (UP by Michael Giacchino for example which was never released on CD) but I'm still an ardent old-school lover of the good old fashioned CD. There's something about seeing them all aligned against my wall like tiny bricks of a massive fortress. There's a sense of pride which comes from collecting each and every CD. I just don't quite get the same feeling from all the digital albums I have on iTunes. We are certainly headed in the digital direction so I might as well climb on board. Normally I might have passed on any offer to give away a digitally downloaded soundtrack but when Milan Records contacted me to announce they were releasing CHO Young-wuk's haunting score for OLDBOY (2003) as a digital download, I couldn't turn them away. I ordered the CD for OLDBOY from Korea not long after film came out along with SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE (2005) which was also composed by CHO Young-wuk. I've been thrilled to have them in my collection, but considering they are imports, they didn't come cheaply. For the first time in the United States, OLDBOY will finally be available for purchase. The fact that it's a downloadable album is inconsequential. I will be giving away five digital download copies of CHO Young-wuk's superlative score for OLDBOY to five lucky Ain't It Cool readers courtesy of Milan Records.

So what do you have to do to enter? Send me an email to scorekeeper@aintitcool.com using the subject: OLDBOY SCORES! and include your full name, a valid email address, and your favorite score of 2009. I'll randomly select the five winners, send the email addresses to Milan, and they'll email the digital files. The deadline will be Tuesday, January 19th, at 11:59PM EST. Only one entry per person per soundtrack please. International entries will be accepted. Duplicates will be discarded. For more information including a free downloadable track and order placement visit Milan Records. We'll see how this particular contest goes. If it generates enough interest I may do more digital download giveaways in the future. For now my preference remains with CDs but you can't drive a horse and buggy on the interstate without getting honked at. I'm sure I'll evolve with the rest of the world. What are your thoughts? CDs only or join the digital revolution?

ScoreKeeper!!!
