Sunday Brings Showtime’s
Last DEXTER Of The Decade!!

I am – Hercules!! More people watched last Sunday’s “Dexter” telecast than any other Showtime telecast since 1999. TV critic Alan Sepinwall said of last week’s installment:
I'm of two minds about tonight's "Dexter." On the one hand, Jennifer Carpenter continues her strong work this season, and the final sequence was one of the more exciting cat-and-mouse moments the show has done. On the other hand, to get to that moment, Dexter has to get an IQ transplant from Peter Petrelli for most of the episode. Hopefully, it all leads to a finale that doesn't end the exact way we all assume that it will.
Showtime says of tonight’s installment, titled “The Getaway” and co-written by Wendy West (“K-Ville,” “The Beast”) & Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight,” “New Moon”):
As the noose tightens, Arthur warns Dexter to back off. But Dexter will do anything to stop Trinity from eluding him, even if that means putting himself on the wrong side of the law. Rita acknowledges the rocky relationship she and Dexter share, but reaffirms her support. Batista and LaGuerta face the consequences of their actions. Debra unearths a deeply-hidden truth, but not one she expected to find. And ultimately, Dexter and Arthur find themselves on a collision course, leading them to a confrontation that will change their lives forever.
In 2007, “Dexter” won two Emmys, for “Outstanding Main Title Design” and “Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series.” Do you imagine John Lithgow might bring home the series’ third? 9 p.m. Sunday. Showtime.
