I am – Hercules!!
To the surprise of no one, Fox has cancelled Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse.”
The network still intends to air the remaining 9 of the 13 season-two episodes ordered, the bulk of them in December.
Only the (still breathing) Brad Garrett sitcom “‘Til Death” gets worse primetime ratings on the channel. The sci-fi drama’s best second-season ratings were beaten by repeats of “House” and “Bones” over the last two Fridays.
“Dollhouse” joins a long list of sci-fi shows that perished soon after moving to Fox’s Friday Death Slot, among them:
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. (1993)
Strange Luck (1995)
The Visitor (1997)
Harsh Realm (1999)
Dark Angel (2000)
The Lone Gunmen (2001)
John Doe (2003)
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
The network should maybe think about putting some of its sci-fi shows on another night.
