Well this report from our Fox mole who is burrowed deep into the executive towers of that studio was just this minute received by FATHER GEEK here at AICN's Geek World Headquarters in Austin. I hereby pass the timely info on to you... remember, this may not be the script chosen by The Bruce.
harry,
i work at fox and recently discovered some news regarding Die Hard 4.
a new brit newcomer called Ben Trebilcook has a screenplay entitled God And The Devil and it has been rumored here in our front offices that this could well well be the next installment of the die hard franchise.
Trebilcook has already been approached by UK web site www.popcorn.co.uk and has been interviewed by them already concerning this and they are gonna break the news sometime later this week.
His story is set in the caribbean - McClane is on an exchange trip to trinidad and encounters modern day pirates searching for Nazi Gold.. it sounds a little cheesy but the script is dead cool. back to the original style of die hard. yes it has action - but like no other.
i seriously hope this script is the one chosen - but the final choice is up to Bruce Willis to choose the overall screenplay.
i'll keep you posted on this.
