According to Bloody-Disgusting, John Landis has announced that David Tennant, aka "The Tenth Doctor", will join Simon Pegg in BURKE AND HARE!
Pegg and Tennant will star as the infamous duo who supplied a British medical school with cadavers they either harvested from graves or murdered themselves. Variations on the story have been told in Val Lewton/Robert Wise's classic THE BODY SNATCHER and Freddie Francis's solid THE DOCTOR AND THE DEVILS. Landis's version will be based on a screenplay by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft, whose previous credits include the non-horror likes of GOAL III, ST. TRINIAN'S, and ST. TRINIAN'S 2: THE LEGEND OF CURLY'S FRITTON'S GOLD. Not the most confidence-inspiring titles, but I can't imagine Landis would be able to get Pegg and Tennant involved if the script were complete rubbish.
