Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. So, those rumors about Brad Pitt being added into Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes flick as Moriarty were recently called into question. Maybe they stemmed from this...
According to the fine folks at The Hollywood Reporter Warners is already gearing up for a sequel and that Pitt is in talks currently to play Moriarty.
That could mean, if the deal is done in time, that they may whip up a shot of him for the first flick, but either way I'm pretty happy. I love the footage I've seen of Ritchie's movie, I love the taste of chemistry we get between Downey and Law and seeing Pitt as Moriarty would be pretty wicked, I think.
Warners is chaining the screenwriters of Justice League: Mortal, Kieran and Michele Mulroney, to the typewriter to see what they can come up with.
This shows a certain confidence on the part of the studio in Sherlock Holmes. They wouldn't be spending money on a sequel if they weren't sure the first was going to make them some money. What do you folks think?
