Herc Has Seen Tuesday’s Return Of SONS OF ANARCHY And Says A Tune-Up Leaves The Series Running Cooler For Season 2!!

I am – Hercules!! Let us throw a little love now at FX’s “Sons of Anarchy,” which returns much improved from the season-one episodes I caught. The show gets a big jolt tonight from the arrival of Adam Arkin and Henry Rollins as a pair of white-supremacist leaders bent on making the titular biker gang halt its arms sales to the local blacks and Latinos. I’m also pleased to report that “Mad Men” vet Maggie Siff and “Tell Me You Love Me” refugee Ally Walker are both still in the picture (though, sadly, “Jericho”/”24” vet Sprague Grayden did not make the transition to season two). I was so keyed up late last night about where the show is taking Katey Sagal’s character I found myself rummaging around my messy office for nearly 15 minutes trying to track down episodes two through five. If you didn’t care for “Anarchy” last year? My suggestion is give tonight’s season-two premiere a shot. I already like it better than what I’ve seen of looming 10 p.m. competitors “The Good Wife” and “The Forgotten” (and I don’t have the highest hopes for “The Jay Leno Show”). FX was even good enough to move “Anarchy” to Tuesdays so it doesn’t conflict with “South Park” or “The Road Rules/Real World Challenge.” 10 p.m. Tuesday. FX.
