With episode 3.4, "Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh will start his recurring “Chuck” role as Shaw, the new head of Operation Bartowski. According to an Entertainment Weekly exclusive by Mike Ausiello, Shaw will prove both mentor and romantic rival to the title character. This is not the first post-"Superman" NBC role for Routh, who about a year ago played a guy who winds up in a wheelchair on "Fear Itself." “Chuck” returns to NBC early next year.
