There May Be More Than One RIDDICK Movie In The Works!?!? Their Working Titles Are...

Merrick here...
We're starting to hear more and more about the development of a new RIDDICK movie, like THIS admittedly abstract report from writer/director David Twohy a few weeks ago. Now, Vin Diesel has updated his Facebook page with the working title of not one...but two...RIDDICK films currently being mulled. As far as I know, this is the first revelation that more than one project is under consideration. Interestingly, Vin indicates that a current discussion is about the ratings of future RDDICK movies (it should be noted that many AICN Talkbackers were roundly unimpressed by the franchise's move from PITCH BLACK's "R" rating to CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK's "PG-13" rating). Vin also confirms a pice of information he initially revealed years ago - that the next film in the series does indeed expand upon the second film's "Underverse" metaphysics. Here's what Vin has to say:
The Riddick discussion is about rating now… Though Hollywood likes their PG Ratings, the next chapter in the COR series was always envisioned as an R rating, like Pitch Black… One Studio exec suggested doing both “The Underverse” and “The Furyan”, (working titles) at the same time, allowing us an R rating for the first and a PG rating for the second. The good news- David Twohy’s script comes in next month.
..says his Facebook entry HERE, where you can become one of 5, 653,436 Vin fans. I was considering picking up THIS Blu-Ray set of PITCH and CHRONICLES, but I noticed the CHRONICLES disc only contains the Director's Cut of the film. Talkbackers seem to prefer the Director's Cut, but Massawyrm recently mentioned that he hated the Director's Cut - although he's yet to say why. Could someone please explain to me the differences between CHRONICLES' Director's Cut and theatrical release in the Talkbacks below? Much appreciated. Big thanks to Ramp8g for the heads-up regarding Vin's update...
