I am – Hercules!!
Here’s one not everybody saw coming.
Variety reports that Steven Spielberg may be hot to direct a script from Paul Attanasio ("The Sum of All Fears," "The Good German") that would resurrect American counter-agent Matt Helm.
The paper suggests the new project may more resemble the most recent Bourne and Bond movies than any of the four late-1960s sexcapade adaptations starring Dean Martin.
Helm's origins can be traced to 27 novels written by Donald Hamilton.
There was a two and a half year gap between “Munich” and “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Spielberg’s first post-“Indiana Jones” directorial project is said to be 2011’s “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.”
