Ahoy, squirts! Quint here, writing from the airport of an undisclosed foreign city (yay for free wifi). I have an hour before my flight boards and takes me back home, so I was scanning around the intertubes and saw the lovely guys with the wandering hands at Film School Rejects posted up the trailer for Matthew Robinson and Ricky Gervais' THE INVENTION OF LYING, which originated at Yahoo Movies UK.
I'm a massive, massive fan of Ricky's, especially his work with Stephen Merchant, who pops up in this trailer. So does damn near everybody who is currently funny. Tina Fey, the waiting to explode in a huge way Louis CK, Jonah Hill, etc, etc. The real question is if the real genius of that group, Mr. Karl Pilkington, makes an appearance.
Ricky Gervais discovering lying is a brilliant match of personality and concept, but I've been hearing the film has been having trouble coming together. With all that raw talent at work I hope that it all gets worked out.
