Holy Jesus! Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND is going to scare the crap out of women, children, men and animal alike!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Yes, Alice in Wonderland is an inherently creepy story. The TV movie from the '70s or '80s scared the shit out of me. The Disney cartoon isn't as scary as seeing Lewis Carroll's nightmare creations running around as real creatures, but it's trippy itself. Tim Burton's vision of Carroll's story is going to be a walking, talking nightmare. USA Today has a story that features some interactive production art and the stills of three characters. I've included Depp's Mad Hatter below. Which, by the way, confirms we nabbed the first look at the man back in November of last year! Click through to see the production art as well as the Gacy-clown-make-up-ish Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen.

Fucking scary, right? I saw some stuff at ShoWest as well and the Cheshire cat is also terrifying. Seriously. I love that, though. Burton seems to have the perfect style for this universe and I've been screaming for studios to start making scary children's films again (especially Disney, who have a history with them). This is gonna be a horror show, but that's a good thing. What do you folks think? -Quint quint@aintitcool.com Follow Me On Twitter
