Merrick here...
...with an exclusive preview of TERMINATOR SALVATION images featured in two publications from Titan Books (website HERE).
The Titan folks did a fine job with the recent WATCHMEN books (HERE); I'm eager to see the glimpse they'll give us into McG's TERMIverse.
What we see below are three images illustrating the design progression of the "Moto-Terminators" - the heavily armed, TRANSFORMERS-esque pursuit vehicles featured in the trailers.
The top two designs below show early concepts for the Moto-Terminators. I'm told the original intent for these guys was to literally have Terminators with wheels - evoking a Terminator riding a motorcycle. But if you embiggen the pics and look at the Terminator's legs/feet? Sure looks like a Terminator who's actually riding a motorcycle to me...
The following shot offers a closer look at the final product we'll see in the film. If I'm interpreting this design correctly, a more obvious "robot motorcycle" approach was ultimately taken (i.e. a Terminator bike as an autonomous, stand-alone device - without any of the iconic Terminator torsos, heads, etc. evident in the design).
We hope to have a more comprehensive look a these books (including a few more images, maybe?) very, very soon. The THE ART OF TERMINATOR SALVATION and "TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE OFFICIAL MOVIE COMPANION" will hit bookstores today (Tuesday April 28).
You can order THE ART OF TERMINATOR SALVATION HERE....

Or, in a few weeks, Titan Books & AICN just might bring you another way to snag some copies...so stay tuned!
