Has Warners Gone Too Far With This Promotion of WATCHMEN?!?!?

Hey folks, Harry here... You may have seen images of Dr Manhattan appearing along the Thames in London. And I remember thinking... That's outrageous. Then later I got sent this link! Seems that Warner Brothers' marketing department has really pulled out all the stops. I'm convinced that future Warner Brothers, sent a team of promo people to Mars, 45 years ago, to create a smiley face on the surface of Mars to tie in to a scene from the movie and the comic. That WARNER BROTHERS decided that TIME & SPACE technology would further maximize the market penetration and stability of the WATCHMEN is indeed very forward thinking. The sneakiest part of this promotion is that we're supposed to think it is just a coincidence. That the image from VIKING inspired Alan Moore. But I have a strange feeling of Deja Vu.... so I think this is something that has been altered in our time line. How about you?
