Hey guys. Quint here again, with a slight update. Forgive me for keeping this short, but I woke up at 7am to do this Snyder and Gibbons chat (which ain't bad, but it is when you're used to working till around 4am) and have stayed up all day organizing WonderCon and shaping up a few articles to post before leaving on Thursday... and then I saw the flick, so busy day.
Here are a couple of pictures and a link to where you can listen to the audio file of the whole chat should you be so inclined. I was caught a tad off guard with fielding the first question and to compound matters I had it structured in advance to ask of both Snyder and Gibbons. Unfortunately for me, Gibbons came into the room before Snyder did so when I was called upon I had to try to restructure the question on the fly, which lead to some fumbling, but oh well. The point came across and it did start a thread of conversation about the previous incarnations of the story, so it was all good.

There's my avatar above. Forgive my mountain man beard. There weren't many options when creating my avatar, so I look like some beefy Howard Hughes version of Christopher McQuarrie for some reason on the PS3.
Here's what the whole bizarre event looked like with virtual people asking live questions of other virtual people:

And now we're left with the link to the audio. Snyder addresses the squid in great detail and gives his reasons why he couldn't incorporate it. Gibbons talks about Joel Silver's Arnold Schwarzeneggerized version of Watchmen that almost was and then there's a discussion about the almost casting of both Jude Law and Tom Cruise in the Ozymandias role. Hope you guys enjoy it:

I'm told there might be an edited video of the conference tomorrow. I'll update this story one final time if that becomes available. Thanks to those who tuned in this morning and have been taking part in the very lively discussion in the talkbacks. Love it or hate it, this material brings out the passion like none other I've seen in recent times.
