Promo trailer for DESCENT 2 closes in on you...

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Without Neil Marshall's involvement, I can't really say the fanboy saliva gland is pumping on a sequel to THE DESCENT. I wish new director Jon Harris the best (he was editor on the first one) and I think it's interesting they got Shauna Macdonald and Natalie Mendoza back, but even after seeing the promo trailer at Bloody-Disgusting I can already say it's lacking something the first had. It could very well be a smaller production with more limited resources, but whatever it is there's something missing. Now, I will say I was surprised that it looks as good as it does. I was expecting a cheesy direct to video vibe, but even though I think something is missing the flick still looks like it belongs on the silver screen. So, check it out at the link below. I think you'll see they took the ALIENS structure and pretty much plopped in the surviving (and not) cast from the original. Why not? It works. Hopefully the final flick will be very fun.
