Brett Ratner will direct an adaptation of funnybook creator Rob Liefeld’s Extreme superteam “Youngblood.” Will this be the worst movie ever made, or will twin forces of talentlessness somehow cancel each other out to create the “Citizen Kane” of superhero movies? Some (like me) might call “Youngblood” derivative tripe that makes eyes sore, but Ratner offers a different appraisal: “Most of the great graphic novels are gone, and ‘Youngblood’ is one of the few comicbooks left with tentpole potential,” Brett Ratner tells Daily Variety.
