While "Wipeout" and its giant red balls are bringing monster numbers to ABC (it will serve as counterprogramming during and after NBC's Super Bowl telecast), the Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd says NBC has quietly cancelled “American Gladiators” thanks to its plummeting summer ratings. He also reports that we’ll never get that fourth installment of CBS’ “EliteXC Saturday Night Fights” and that ABC’s “According To Jim” will probably be gone for good as well after fresh episodes air this summer.
