NARNIA Screenwriters Recruited For Joe Johnston's CAPTAIN AMERICA!

Beaks here...

I loved the choice of Joe Johnston as director for FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA. I am... not enraged by the hire of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as the screenwriters for Cappy's first big screen adventure. As you've hopefully gleaned from the headline, Markus and McFeely are probably best known for their serviceable work on Disney's two NARNIA films (THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE and PRINCE CASPIAN). They also wrote the mostly serviceable THE LIFE AND DEATH OF PETER SELLERS and the exceedingly serviceable hitman yarn, YOU KILL ME (starring Ben Kingsley and directed by John Dahl). So all signs point to something extraordinary. Click here to read the rest of The Hollywood Reporter's story. FYI, the release date for FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA is still May 6, 2011.
