Ok, we have all heard about Cameron's interview with Howard Stern. How Cameron expressed his desire to use Leonardo DiCaprio as Peter Parker (as was mentioned here about 3 months ago). But here is a bit more on that by The Biggest Name In Tinsel Town. I can say that according to some knowledge that I am privvy to... Leo would be absolutely perfect for the role of Peter Parker as Cameron has envisioned it. Personally, my Christmas wish is that whoever or whatever is currently holding up SPIDERMAN should simply pull there head out of their bowels and let Cameron direct it in the "heartbeat" he mentioned on Stern.
Anyway, on with the film news! Wondering what Cameron's next project is? Well, me too. But I do know this. In talking with several sources close to the man himself, one casting decision has been made regarding who's gonna be playing Peter Parker The Spectacular Spiderman. He is none other than......................Leonardo DiCaprio! Apparently the actor and director have forged a strong relationship from working on Titanic and have talked about working together on future projects. DiCaprio fits the teenager mold Cameron has written for his Spidey film and has the work ethnic needed for a James Cameron film. Cameron wants to go the safe route-that is, stick with actors who are comfortable working with him and keep the studio happy with a bankable name. Nothings been signed yet between actor and director, but you can count on seeing them work together on this one once the rights are obtained.
