UPDATED AGAIN! Ain’t It Cool And Legendary Pictures Invite You To A Special Pre-Halloween TRICK’R’TREAT Screening In Hollywood!

Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here. UPDATE: WE ARE ADDING A SECOND SCREEN! This means I'm going back to the list to send out almost 200 more invites! If you haven't heard back yet, don't despair! Your invite may be on its way this Wednesday afternoon! We went waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over capacity in terms of how many of you responded. Way, way, way over. I'm very pleased to see the response, and I think it's going to be a huge rowdy crowd. Please... WEAR COSTUMES! We'll make it worth your time, and it'll only add to the atmosphere. I'll have more for you on the guest list very soon. Now back to the original article...

So there’s this film called TRICK’R’TREAT, written and directed by Mike Dougherty, that you may have heard about by now. It’s a creepy, funny, sexy little anthology film featuring four inter-related stories that all take place on Halloween night in a very strange small town. Harry recently ranted a bit about his frustration that the film won’t be playing theaters this year, due in part to the fact that when we showed it at BNAT last December, the response was very strong. Well, Legendary Pictures has been hearing how much you guys want to see the film, and even though there’s not a wide release scheduled for the movie (yet), they want to reward all of you good little ghouls and boils with a special screening exclusively for the readers of AICN. So how about joining me at the Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Thursday, October 23rd? That’s right... we’re throwing a free screening of the film, and you’re invited. Writer/director Mike Dougherty’s going to be there, and he wants to judge a costume contest, so if you’re working on a kick-ass Halloween costume, make sure you wear it that night. There will be prizes. To get in, all you have to do is send me your name and the names of any guests you want to bring. You have to send the e-mail to my e-mail address, and you have to make sure the topic line of the e-mail is “I WANT TO TRICK OR TREAT”. If you don’t use that exact topic line, your e-mail won’t be included in the final guest list. It’s a very small price to ask. I want to make sure as many of you as possible can attend, so we’re starting the film at 8:30 to give you time to get out of work and make it to the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. I often hear people complain that they can’t make a 7:00 or even 7:30 screening, so hopefully this means I’ll get to see even more of you than normal. And this is a HUGE theater, so there’s room for a lot of you to attend. That’s the way you should see this film… with lots and lots of people, so all the laughs and all the scares seem even bigger. I hope you’ll join us. It’s going to be a great night, and I want to thank Legendary for helping put this together. They really seem to love this movie, and I think when you get a look at it, you’re likely to agree.
