Now We Know When The New 300 Movie Will Take Place...

Merrick here...
A while back we heard that some sort of follow-up to 300 was being readied by Frank Miller, and that Zack Snyder would return to direct it when it was ready. But...given the ending of the original graphic novel/film...it wasn't clear exactly how this would be accomplished. Would it be a prequel? A sequel? Or, a parallel story (for example, a massive and dazzling naval battle occurred alongside The Battle of Thermopylae - which wasn't incorporated into 300's storyline). Snyder also said it will take place between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea, the battle that narrator Dilios is at while re-telling the story of King Leonidas and the mighty Spartans to a new group of warriors at the end of 300. As Dilios says, there's a whole year between Thermopylae and where he currently stands...
...says THIS ARTICLE at IESB. You can find more about The Battle of Plataea HERE. The Wiki entry says that some estimates suggest Persian forces at Plataea were 300,000 strong. 300,000. A title, maybe?
