I saw an early print of AMERICAN PIE and just laughed my ass of four ways to Sunday. So I can't wait to see the final print when it hits the local theaters. But Cichlisuite has seen it as well, and I figure I'll let ya check out his thoughts as well.... Here ya go...
Get Some 'American Pie'....NOW!!!!!!

Last Thursday night I got to see one of the funniest films I have ever seen in my entire life. No, not 'Austin Powers' (well, later that night we saw it), but a little known movie called 'American Pie'. The only thing I knew about this movie was from the short trailer I saw in the theatre. You know, the one with the pie scene. Well, word had it, that this film was this year's 'Something About Mary' and I was even more psyched to see it. I went in with extremely high expectations and not only were they met, but they were met 10 fold. Simply put, if there is one comedy you see this summer, go....no, RUN OUT to see this film when it opens.
The plot is simple. 4 guys make a pact to get laid before the prom. That's it. I won't give out any more details. Let's just say that what happens to these four lads and their high school peers on the way leading up to prom night entails a series of the most hilarious predicaments ever filmed. every character is priceless and very well written. The actors are all extremely talented and unbelievably funny. This is the best ensemble teen comedy since 'Breakfast Club'. In fact, it ranks with 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Fast Times' as one of the best teen comedies I've ever seen (and I've seen friggin millions of teen comedies).

Later that night, my friends and I went to see 'Austin Powers', and while it was very funny, in fact alot more funnier than the first one, but none of us could get 'American Pie' out of our heads. Believe me...it was THAT good!!!! Take care.
