SIMPSONS Scribe Dana Gould To Pen SIGMUND AND THE SEA MONSTERS: THE MOTION PICTURE!!

I am – Hercules!!
Stand-up comedian and longtime “Simpsons” writer Dana Gould is penning the script for Universal’s big-screen adaptation of Sid & Marty Krofft’s Saturday-morning acid-trip comedy adventure “Sigmund and the Sea Monsters.” The Universal project comes hot on the heels of the big-screen “Land of the Lost,” also based on a Saturday-morning Krofft property. (The Will Ferrell vehicle coincidentally just moved its release date from July 17 to June 5 of next year.) "Sigmund," which aired 1973-75 on NBC, depicted the adventures of two young humans who harbor a misfit monstrocity from the deep. From Thursday morning's Variety:
The Kroffts said they hope to follow with the remaining properties originated on "The Krofft Supershow," which include "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl," "Lidsville," "The Bugaloos," "Dr. Shrinker," "Bigfoot and Wildboy" and "Wonderbug."
