Toronto After Dark Film Festival, has just announced its first batch of exciting new horror, sci-fi, action, and cult feature films that will be premiering at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto at the festival's third annual event this October 17-24, 2008. The initial lineup includes cult horror musical Repo! The Genetic Opera, revenge thriller Red based on Jack Ketchum’s novel, horror action movie Tokyo Gore Police, celebrated vampire feature Let the Right One In, which won Best Picture at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, and Oscar-nominated animator Bill Plympton’s latest, a dark and twisted animated feature fairytale, Idiots & Angels. Rounding out the list are MirageMan, an award-winning action-packed crowd-pleaser from Chile, the wickedly fun undead horror film Trailer Park of Terror, and the multiple award-winning cult comedy Who is KK Downey? Individual tickets go on sale on September 24, the same day Toronto After Dark will be releasing its complete festival lineup and film schedule.
