ABC just announced it’s taking three drama pilots to series:
1) “Veronica Mars” mastermind Rob Thomas’ remake of his ‘90s hourlong “Cupid,” this time starring Bobby Cannavale (“Snakes on a Plane”) and Sarah Paulson (“Studio 60”) in the Jeremy Piven and Paula Marshall roles.
2) “Castle,” a Nathan Fillion vehicle, from writer Andrew W. Marlowe (“Air Force One,” “End of Days,” “Hollow Man”) about a novelist who helps the New York police.
3) The ensemble police drama “The Unusuals,” from writer-producers Noah Hawley ("Bones") and Peter Tolan ("The Larry Sanders Show," "Rescue Me"). The pilot starred Amber Tamblyn (“Joan of Arcadia”), Harold Perrineau (“Lost”), Adam Goldberg (“Zodiac,” “Entourage”) and Terry Kinney (“Canterbury’s Law”).
The network is also taking to series two sitcoms:
1) The corporate-ladder saga "Better Off Ted," from writer-producer Victor Fresco ("Andy Richter Controls The Universe"), starring Jay Harrington ("The Inside").
2) The career-girl comedy "Single With Parents," from writer-producer Kristin Newman ("How I Met Your Mother"), starring Alyssa Milano ("Charmed").
