Harry here... Hmmmm... this sounds... um... disturbing. Has anybody heard anything more on this? I know most of you have almost zero faith in Ehren Kruger, but I can vouch for the man... well at least for ARLINGTON ROAD, which is one of the most claustrophobic intense films I've seen. Who knows, perhaps this'll be for the best.... What do you folks think?
Smithington here.In L.A for a month so enjoying the most I caN! The news just broke on www.Scream-trilogy.com that Kevin Williamson won't write Scream 3. He handed Miramax a 30 page outline of the movie but he didn't finish the whole script. The stars Neve, Courtney and David and also the director Craven are still connected with the movie. Miramax has hired Ehren Kruger, who wrote "Arlington Road" and Miramax's upcoming "Reindeer Games," to draft a shooting script. Fans are already saying that Williamson is too lazy. But he is caught up in post production of "Teaching Mrs. Tingle" and "WasteLAnd"(which I saw advanced screenings off and thier both not up to Williamson's previous projects). With Kruger the film is supposedly taken a more serious look with suspense not with gore. Even though I think Kruger will do a great job I think Williamsons style will be missing-oh well at least Craven didn't quit.Williamson has been getting kind of hackish with his latest projects so maybe it's a good thing. It will be neat to see a Scream film with a serious tone. Scream 3 is scheduled to be realesed for sometime in Decemeber and Miramax is sticking to it.
